
Autism and sleep problems are a constant battle. They often get their days and nights mixed up, and if Calvin sleeps during the day, he’ll be up all night.
This week, he’s been trying to take naps during the day and when I’ve gone in to wake him up, he has a video like this playing on YouTube.
Yes, this is a “white noise” washing machine video, but interestingly, he has it connected to headphones at his computer, so he can’t actually hear it. He just knows that it’s playing and somehow that helps him sleep.
I’m trying to figure out how to hook into his live browsing on his computer to trigger when he puts on a long-running video so I can trigger an alert to keep him from going to sleep during the day.
